Today I pushed my hangover and fatigue aside and set out on dear old Bart for the Lake Merritt Farmers Market in Oakland. Upon arrival I was ushered to the Uhuru Breakfast stand where I promptly ordered a Breakfast wrap complete with fresh farm eggs, cheddar cheese, fingerling potatoes and strawberries on the side. Yum.
My dear friend Lana is working at the County Line Harvest stand at the market and gave me baskets of strawberries, onions, thyme, and squash to take home and create into delicious treats. It was so hot in Oakland! But quite lovely and full of sweet smells and hot moms and dads.
