Basilica and Holy Days Off.

I had a full and amazing day off. I had a nutella smoothie. I visited the Mission Delores Basilica. I soaked up sun in a lovely garden/cemetary. I smelled roses and bluebells. I took a crowded bus ride! I made a delightful dinner with my best friend, Lana. I took many photos. Who knows what the night will hold

Hair Bow.

Today I wore a large bow in my hair and took a walk. I passed my favorite house on Clinton Park. It is so windy out! It feels like December, NOT, August! People are warning me that August is colder than the winter months in San Francisco. Is this true? I'm not buying it, where is Indian Summer?! I have the next two days off after seven long days of work. I will die if the sun doesn't come out atleast once!

Starwash

Today was laundry day. I decided to try out a new laundromat because the one near my house is infested with Frito Chip eating men who wont stop harassing you until you leave with your soggy clothes. The New laundromat, "Starwash" was painted a delicious aquamarine color and came fully equipped with Director's chairs and Bollywood poster art. I found this flower plant on my walk home and it brightened my day. Oh how I love the simpler things.

Day to Day

We went out to Pop's for Miriam's birthday celebrations last night. It wasnt as wild as normal, which was probably a good thing for a Thursday Night. We did score 9 free jukebox credits (Madonna, KISS, and Op Ivy ensued) as well as taking a handful of photobooth strips.

I love sharing these with whomever is reading because photobooths are fucking rad, just try and deny it!

Miriam Gorciak Brummel is another year older!

Today is Miriam Brummel's birthday and I am so fuckin excited! Miriam is one of my closest friends and when we party together absolute mayhem ensues. Miriam has a big heart which she fills with Mariah Carey, Crushes, Taking photos, and being a great fucking pal. One time Miriam took me to L.A. and showed me around her home turf. Her mom bought us tickets to Disneyland and we drank wine coolers and smirnoff ice on the Donald Duck level of the parking garage. This was after Miriam broke a mini bottle of wine at the convenience store, oops.
These are some of my favourite polaroids of Miriam in all her glory and love.
I love you girl! Happy Birthday!
Dont go Chasin Waterfalls!

I need real equipment.

Today my friend Drew came over and we had an impromptu photo shoot. Now, I am seriously thinking about investing in some legit lights and backdrops, but for now we had Miles flash, tripod, and a painted wall as our backdrop. I changed most of these into black and white because the flash glare off my mellow yellow walls was not too pretty. Drew is a handsome baby and more shots of him will be seen as he is going to be a model for my future masks.

This is Drew as Pete Doherty. Haw.

This is Drew making the worst face of all time.

This is Drew before he cut his golden locks.

paper goat mask pt. 1

I made a goat mask out of paper bits, hot glue, and feathers. Chris modeled the mask. IT is quite colorful in person but I think I like the black and white better as it accentuates the goat like features. More to come. If you wanna model let me know, I need some people who will get nude and wear miniature forest masks.

Inspiration! Life Changing Comix!

I forgot to mention that Chris and I went to Pens and Needles (on 16th between Guerrero and Delores)and Chris bought "a life changing comic" called Sof' Boy!
It has inspired us to spend the rest of the afternoon drawing, and Chris thinks that if you read this comic your life will be changed. So check it out!
Here is the cover of the issue we bought, as well as a splendid frame from inside.
Weee.

Days Off Rule.

I walked around my neighborhood today and these are some of the things I saw; a magic bus and a little old man boy.

Pops is synonymous with certain DEATH.

There is something about Pops that just makes me crazy. Maybe its the 3 dollar whiskey and cokes? Maybe its the black and white photobooth? Could it be the beautiful bike ride you must take to get there? Or just the fact that the bartenders flirt with you every time? Whatever it is, it gets me wasted everytime and leaves me with fabulous photos of the journey. My memory is blanking on 99% of these photos, but I'm sure once Alex and Drew wake from their whiskey slumber they will explain to me the magic behind them. For now, I will post them and hope the truth comes.
Hallelujah though, I made it through another drunken night in San Francisco with only a scraped knee and $30 less in cash. It is possible I sprained my thumb, but I'm gonna ignore that.

Chris Jehly is (still) old.

I really don't have words for these photos.
Chris Jehly is a mad man, and perhaps my favourite crazy person, ever. We are going to see batman tonight and we are going to celebrate the way we always do: we are going to smoke copious amounts of weed and go berserk!
