everyday learning more;

One of the great things about art, to me, is the fact that every day I am learning more. I have many interests, but at this junction I am good at none of them. Thats when our friend trial and error comes into play. I can fuck around with a cheap canon, I can crochet foreign objects to my hearts content, and I can dream like I've never dreamt before. Everyday I try to get just a little bit better at what I'm doing, and I hope after a few years and much time, I will be good enough at atleast one of the things I love so much. So, here are some photos I took. They are neither horrible nor wonderful, but they are progress, and that has to count for something, right? Im trying, a heartfelt fucking PUSH at trying, which is something. Growing learning, loving, fucking up, im into all of it. For the rest of this mangled set, check the flickr page.

lazy lazy thursday

I spent just about 6 hours in the park today. My arms have color and I smell like sun and grass and maybe a little bit like tecate.
Also, I found this photographer on the internet today, and Im really into alot of the portraits, especially the little kids ones.
And I want every kitchen item from here.

Now its time to draw, time to make dinner, time to tend to the little cat.
And maybe I will dye my locks?

dumpsters and trains!

Yesterday we adventured. We got drunk in the park and made sandwiches. We went to the East Bay and explored dumpsters from Oakland (Bread!) to Emeryville (a potential Peet's jackpot) to Berkeley (Naan, Crackers, Strawberries, Potatoes and Crumpets!). I got 10 inches away from a moving train, which was amazing. I've never been that close to an operating locomotive! I rode my bike alot, I took many photos, hung out with my girl, Samm, and I met the RADDEST dog i've ever seen! Anyways, today could hold more adventures..thinking about hitting up the Farmers Market...but we'll see.

Miles Fell in the Mud and Turned 23.

Yesterday was Miles' twenty-third birthday. We did birthday things and hung around, went on a long walk, bought records and checked out tattoo shops. We had a super fancy dinner and proceeded to get wasted. Alot of good people came out for the festivities, we hung out in the park and I took a "nap". I am hungover and have to go to work soon, so, pictures! All photos taken with the Canon Rebel. Hollar!
