Amnesia

Last night we got beers at Amnesia. We went early because it was dark out and time to start drinking. That and Al had to wake up early for work this morning. We drank beers and noticed a stage and people dressed in beautiful clothing, fancy dresses, odd hats, suspenders and the like. We noticed musical instruments and speakers and figured there must be a show going on. Turns out it was a a 10 minute play competition called "Cheetahs on the Moon." Anyways, it was really funny and satirical, heavily polically influenced. Amnesia had a calender of events here that you can check out. The bar is really dimly lit and I didnt feel like being that jerk who ruins the ambiance with a camera flash so i just snapped a few of us in the dark. Nothing special, but who the hell cares!?

Miles Fell in the Mud and Turned 23.

Yesterday was Miles' twenty-third birthday. We did birthday things and hung around, went on a long walk, bought records and checked out tattoo shops. We had a super fancy dinner and proceeded to get wasted. Alot of good people came out for the festivities, we hung out in the park and I took a "nap". I am hungover and have to go to work soon, so, pictures! All photos taken with the Canon Rebel. Hollar!

Impalin' Palin

I feel like I haven't posted in forever, and the truth is, not alot has been happening. I had a small camera tragedy, and I've had some San Francisco blues the past week or two. Yesterday I finally made a break into the social circle I'm apart of and we BBQ'ed. It was an early celebration with our Petaluma lovers for Miles' upcoming birthday. We ate a lot of grilled things, threw darts, took photos, and drank beers. All in all it was a delicious BBQ. I took some digital photos with the Canon Rebel and some polaorids with expired film. I miss feeling good enough to photo, draw, and go out. I need to get happy.

lightening.

I am experimenting with light and exposure.
It's delicious.
Miles helped me with most of these. He is handsome.

My best friend moved to Prague.

In an hour my best friend boards his plane for Prague. I am finding it hard to describe the weight in my chest, my eyes are sore from too many tears and my hands smell like bleach cuz I clean when its time to cope. I am lucky to say that I got to spend alot of time with Drew the last few days, and last night we had a tequilla feast to wish him off. I love you Drew. I hope these photos find you well once you land in Praha. Hugs and hugs and kisses.
(The polaroids are with the 600, the snazzy one of Drew is with the sx-70, all the others were taken with the Canon Rebel.)

I rarely venture to Chinatown. When I do, I bring my camera.

Indian Summer

My favourite time of year is suddenly here. It's the time of year where temperatures soar, tomatoes are ripe, pumpkins are being planted, flowers smell sweet and warm, and friends stay out in the park until midnight soaking up the warm air and cool breeze over cold beers and ice cream. It's finally summer in Northern California, and though it comes a little late, its well worth its wait. Indian Summer is the most beautiful time of the year on the West Coast. I'm happy to be outdoors, I'm happy to be barefoot, and I am happy for the changing of the seasons.
