FADE TO BLACK. MORE TO COME IN 12 HOURS.

SHROUDS

Polaroid "Fade to Black" type film for SX-70.
This image will continue to transform from barely visible, to entirely black in the next 24 hours. After it is completely darkened I will put it in the sun and the image will be bleached back, resulting in a sepia soaked photograph. This image is currently turning very mustard, with hints of orange and brown.

young summer sun

summer time warrants a study in the one you love as well as a study in wilderness swimming, wilderness peeing, wilderness camping and general outdoor swooning/swimming/simultaneously loving your life and those in it.

mutantz

my boyfriends mustache
a sanctuary for bugs
i saw one today

(in reality, i did see a little bug on miles stache today, but in his defense, it was at a dirty little bar in a dirty part of town, and it wasnt a crazy bug, it was like an ant)

a man, a foot, a cloud, a googley eye.

left over portraits and hazardous debris.
beware of the googley eyes, they will turn toes into martians and your cat might try and eat them. p.s. isnt miles a total babe?

Friday, February 6

Portland, Oregon.

The last five days were spent in pure vacation mode up in Portland. I went with my best friend and my boyfriend and it was amazing. We learned to shoot bow and arrows, we hiked up to a waterfall, we ate huge amounts of vegan food! We drank our weight in PBR and even went to a strip club. I took some photos along the way, nothing too epic, but it was a good trip and these photos make me laugh. Dan took us to some rad little galleries and such, including the Museum of Contemporary Craft which was housing a Mandy Greer exbibit that blew my mind!
I bought alot of good books and zines while we ar eup there, and a rad little dress. Anyways, my polaroid camera is completely broken so the polaroids i took were mostly wasted...but there were a couple that survived. Everything else was taken with the Rebel. I hear Dan has some good photos from our jouneys on his facebook, but I dont have one of those...if you do, you should check them out!

winter woes.

i hung up paper hearts and paper faces. some paper birds and one paper bear. i made freckles on my face and put a hat on alex. miles' photo looks really soft for some reason, its kind of blurred. i want to touch it.

this is me with out any neck. just a floating head, like in baron munchausen. i am a planet!

this is alex looking really warm.

i am not a fan of any of these photos, really. it was just a fun excersise to play with light and shadows in my kitchen. i havent felt exceptionally artistic or creative lately. i dont know what it is, ive been spending all my time reading books instead of being in the real world.
my friend tara and i are going to have a photo shoot in february. i have alot of good ideas and i think she will be an excellent model. she is kind of a cutie-bad ass.
i dont know why i take photos, i guess it is just fun for me.

Miles Fell in the Mud and Turned 23.

Yesterday was Miles' twenty-third birthday. We did birthday things and hung around, went on a long walk, bought records and checked out tattoo shops. We had a super fancy dinner and proceeded to get wasted. Alot of good people came out for the festivities, we hung out in the park and I took a "nap". I am hungover and have to go to work soon, so, pictures! All photos taken with the Canon Rebel. Hollar!
