too much light!

I found a double exposure of Maura that was taken with too much light. Its really rad how much you can manipulate polaroid cameras. This photo was taken with an sx-70 and a rigged shutter and a few lamps. The other double exposures I took that day all came out clear with good color, but this must have been a test shot and I had to much light, too close to the camera's shutter. Anyways, I thought it was a pretty rad photo, I like all the light and the weird ghost like shadows that compose Maura.

Best Friends with Two Heads

Last night my two best friends came over and I took their portrait. We put on glitter and drank beers and fuckin danced. I worked the door at Club 6 for awhile, got some free beers and met alot of really nice people. Anyways, here are the double exposed photos I took of Maura and Lana. After taking these my camera fell off its makeshift tripod and I think its broken, again. Either I will fix it, or buy a new one. Fucking Bummer!
p.s. I really liek the individual shots of Lana and Maura. They look like movie stars.

The Universe.

The last one was not taken in Black and White. It was really over exposed and I thought it looked better in Black and White. If B&W polaroid film wasnt so damn hard to find and expensive, I would shoot primarily in it! I used photoshop to take some of the yellow out of the expired film photos. Two of the photos were taken with new film, and were not adjusted. Its crazy how different the feel is with expired film.

Also, I am still looking for models to do some of these double exposure shoots. Let me know if you are interested! Thanks to those of you who are reading/looking at my blog, I really appreciate it!

Parisitic Twins

I have a large batch of expired film and have this idea for a parasitic/abnormal/conjunction of the bodies portrait series. I am practicing shots of Miles, the baby cat, and myself before someone comes over and stands in front of my camera. We took these last night with the sx-70 and old 600 film. I messed with the colorbalance slightly on photoshop to eliminate some of the yellows, but they are all double exposed photos. Fun! Come over and be my model, you have to listen to creepy parasitic twin music, but its fun because I'll make cookies or something.

Double Exposure

A couple weeks back I found a tutorial on youtube which demonstrated how to do a double exposure with a Polaroid sx-70. I watched the tutorial about 20 times and finally figured out how to keep the film from dispensing out of its film pack. Bravo, right? Well, it turns out there is still a major issue with light leaks and over exposure. I probably wasted about 15 photos trying to find the right balance...indoor vs. outdoor, dark room or light room? Flash or no flash? I still havent perfected it, at all, but i'm getting closer and soon I will figure it out. Here are two of my best attempts at double exposing the film. The one of Miles was taken with one flash per photo, in my kitchen. The photo of me was taken with no flash in my living room, utilizing the direct sunlight coming in through the windows.
